Laws against the use of child soldiers
There are two different laws that outlaw the use of children in the military under a certain age: the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict.
Convention on the rights of the Child, article 38“State Parties shall take all feasible measures to ensure that persons who have not attained the age of fifteen years do not take a direct part in hostilities. State Parties shall refrain from recruiting any person who have attained the age of fifteen years but who have not attained the age of eighteen years, State Parties shall endeavor to give priority to those who are oldest”

Convention on the rights of the child on the involvement of children in armed conflict, ARTICLE 1“State Parties shall take all feasible measures to ensure that members of their armed forces who have not attained the age of eighteen years do not take a direct part in hostilities”
